THE STORY

I was lucky enough to have just surfed the ‘North Shore’ of O’ahu, Hawaii (which is world-renowned by Surfers for being one of the best places on earth for surfing) on the day when the audio-track for this video was recorded at sea, during my evening performance onboard Royal Caribbean's Cruise-Ship - ‘RADIANCE of the Seas’.

I had taken a day-trip from Honolulu to ‘Ehukai Beach Park’ (near ‘Sunset Beach’) together with a couple of friends who also worked on the ship: Ian (a fellow Canadian, who was the Drummer for the ship's Orchestra) and Thomas (from Texas - USA, who was an excellent part of the ‘Cruise Staff’: The Crew that organises activities for the ship's Passengers). Photos of our adventure can be seen below.

The 3 of us rented a car for the day, just to get us to our surfing destination & back, but we had to carefully co-ordinate the exact timing of our excursion because of the very limited time available before having to be back onboard the ship, setting-off towards our next destination.

Well, it turned out to be a SPECTACULAR day, despite the ridiculous amount of time wasted just trying to find coconut-water at multiple different stops along our way. I do understand that proper hydration is important, but Thomas INSISTED that our drink of choice MUST be Coconut water, which (as it turned out), was much more difficult to find in Hawaii than you might think! …LOL! Ian & I (as fellow ‘Canucks’) both enjoyed ganging-up on our American friend for the rest of the day, busting his chops about the amount of time that was wasted only because of his insistence about absolutely needing Coconut water in order to perform.

Surfing is the theme for this Single & Video only because Jack Johnson (the Songwriter & original Artist of this song) is known as a bit of a ‘Surfer-Dude’. The still photos you see in this video (plus the artwork for this single) were all taken on the day of that awesome surfing adventure in Hawaii.
