THE STORY

Our 28-day total journey across the Pacific Ocean started with an 11-day Cruise departing from the port of Vancouver, Canada, and (after 5 days at sea) eventually spending 6 days making various stops in different parts of the Hawaiian Islands. We then left Hawaii on a 17-day Cruise across the Equator, and continued through French Polynesia before finally ending up in Auckland, New Zealand. SUCH AN AMAZING JOURNEY!

Anybody who is crossing the equator at sea for the very first time while onboard a Cruise-Ship, has no-doubt been invited to a ‘King Neptune Ceremony’, which always turns into a VERY messy experience (but in a very fun kind of way). I was astonished to watch how eager & delighted the ship's paying passengers were to offer themselves up for this fascinating ritual which was rather unbelievable to see in-person. Oh! How my poor eyes will never be able to ‘un-see’ such an event, however, I have absolutely no regrets for having witnessed such ridiculousness! If you're curious about it, then please just ‘Google Search’ “King Neptune Ceremony” & then try to imagine being there in person. Hilarious stuff!

This song was ALWAYS a popular request onboard every Cruise-Ship I've ever performed on, in ANY part of the world. Originally written & performed by Frankie Ford, this old song has been re-done by many different Musical Artists over the years, so I sincerely hope that you enjoy my own version of it, which was recorded in the South-Pacific Ocean onboard Royal Caribbean's Cruise-Ship 'RADIANCE of the Seas', in the Leeward Islands, near Tahiti, somewhere in-between Bora Bora & Moorea.

Starting at 01:41 of my Video for this song (link provided near the bottom of this page), you see me performing onboard the Carnival ship 'PARADISE' (‘the old tub'), on a day when it was so windy that the ship's Captain had given warning for all passengers to please NOT go outside onto any of the ship's open decks (which is why you can see absolutely no passengers in the video), however, I was still required to perform outside by the pool on the ship's upper ‘Lido Deck’ (which made absolutely no sense at all).
